The problem we solve

When an RV breaks down, owners typically do one of three things: search a forum, call a dealer, or guess. Forums are anonymous. Dealers are expensive and slow. Guessing costs money.

Meanwhile, the most valuable diagnostic knowledge in the RV industry lives in the heads and notebooks of experienced mobile technicians — people who have diagnosed the same AC failure in 40 different rigs, found the same wiring defect in three different floorplans, and know exactly which steps actually matter and in what order.

SMART-RV captures that knowledge systematically, peer-reviews it for accuracy, and makes it available to owners in the form of structured diagnostic protocols — while giving the techs who contribute it a platform that actually benefits their practice.

How it works

For RV owners

Describe your RV and the problem. SMART-RV matches your symptoms against a database of verified field cases — logging the RV type, affected system, root cause, what was tried, and what worked. The result is a confidence-scored protocol: ranked likely causes with percentages, step-by-step repair phases with time estimates, and real field evidence from inspectors who fixed the same thing.

For RV technicians

SMART-RV is a professional platform — not just a directory. Techs log cases in a structured CRM, get their submissions peer-reviewed by other credentialed professionals, build a public profile showing their verified expertise, and receive warm leads from owners who have already worked through the diagnostic protocol and are ready to book. No commissions. No lead fees. A flat monthly subscription.

Our quality standards

  • Credential verification. Every technician in the SMART-RV directory has uploaded proof of professional certification — NRVIA, RVIA, or an equivalent credential — before their profile is published.
  • Peer-reviewed knowledge base. No field case enters the SMART-RV diagnostic database without approval from at least two other verified technicians. Cases that don't meet quality standards are returned for revision.
  • No anonymous contributions. Every piece of diagnostic knowledge in SMART-RV is traceable to a specific credentialed technician. This is fundamentally different from forum posts or AI-generated content.
  • Confidence scoring. Protocols display a confidence score based on the number of matching field cases and their outcome consistency. When data is thin, we say so explicitly rather than overstate certainty.
