SMART-RV provides a platform through which users may discover and evaluate independent RV technicians, inspectors, repair businesses, and other service providers. Unless expressly stated otherwise, these professionals are independent third parties and are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of SMART-RV or Joe Symmes.
No Guarantee of Service Quality
A SMART-RV profile, credential badge, verification status, peer-review contributor designation, subscription tier, or any other platform designation does not constitute a guarantee, warranty, endorsement, or representation that the professional will perform services competently, safely, lawfully, or satisfactorily. Verification of credentials means only that the technician submitted documentation that appeared to represent the claimed certification at the time of review — it is not an ongoing guarantee of professional status, licensure, insurance, or conduct.
Your Responsibility to Verify
Users are responsible for independently evaluating and selecting any professional listed on SMART-RV. Before engaging a technician's services, you should independently confirm:
- Applicable licenses, certifications, and qualifications
- Insurance coverage (liability, workers' compensation)
- Pricing, availability, and service area
- References or prior work history
- Any applicable state or local contractor registration requirements
No Employment or Agency Relationship
SMART-RV does not direct, supervise, or control the work performed by technicians listed on the platform. Technicians set their own rates, availability, and service scope. SMART-RV is not a party to any service agreement between you and a technician, and is not responsible for any outcome of services rendered.
Peer Review Designation
The “Peer Reviewed” designation on a field case indicates that the submission has been reviewed by one or more qualified SMART-RV contributors according to the platform's review criteria. Peer review indicates that the submission passed SMART-RV's internal review process — it does not constitute a warranty, guarantee, or representation that the procedure will produce the same result in every RV or circumstance.
User Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, users agree to indemnify and hold harmless SMART-RV and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from any service engagement with a professional discovered through the platform, or from misuse of platform content in evaluating or selecting a professional.
