Privacy Policy

When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, and user type (owner or technician). For technicians, we also collect professional certification documents you upload for credential verification.

Technicians may optionally provide city, state, bio, specialties, years of experience, service radius, and a voice introduction recording. This information is published on your public profile.

We collect information about how you use the Service, including pages viewed, search queries submitted, and actions taken. This is used to improve the platform.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details. We receive a subscription status and customer identifier from Stripe.

To provide diagnostics, match field cases to your query, display your profile in the tech directory, enable messaging, and manage your subscription.

To verify technician credentials uploaded during signup or profile completion.

To send you account-related emails (confirmation, billing receipts, policy changes). We do not send marketing emails without your opt-in consent.

To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive behavior on the platform.

Technician profile information you provide (name, location, bio, specialties) is visible to the public and to logged-in owners. Voice recordings are visible to logged-in users only.

We share data with Supabase (database and auth), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (hosting). These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.

We retain your information while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.

If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it longer.

Approved field cases that have been incorporated into the knowledge base may be retained in anonymized or attributed form even after account deletion, as they form part of the diagnostic corpus.

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you by emailing contactus@smart-rv.com.

You can update most profile information directly through your account settings.

You may request deletion of your account and personal data by emailing contactus@smart-rv.com.

You may request an export of your case data and profile information in a machine-readable format.

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), row-level security policies on our database, and server-side session verification using Supabase Auth. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We do not expose API keys or service-role credentials client-side.

SMART-RV is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us at contactus@smart-rv.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by email notification.
